The Coordination Council of the heads of the competent authorities of the CSTO member states at a meeting in Almaty will discuss the effectiveness of the measures taken to counter illegal migration
On April 26, 2018, in Almaty, the Republic of Kazakhstan, a regular meeting of the Coordination Council of the heads of the competent authorities of the CSTO member states on combating illegal migration will be held.
The delegations from all the CSTO member states will attend the meeting of the Coordination Council, as well as the Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO Valery Semerikov.
Representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops are invited to the meeting of the KSBNM.
The meeting participants will discuss the state of the migration situation in the CSTO member states and the effectiveness of the measures taken to counter illegal migration, conceptually determine the development directions of the collective system of combating illegal migration until 2025, and also exchange experience on security in the migration sphere in the preparation and conduct of major international and sporting events.
In addition, at the meeting it is planned to review the situation prevailing in the border areas of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with the Republic of Tajikistan and the results of the activities of the Working Group at the CSFH on working with refugees and asylum seekers.
